I specialize in simplifying complex problems and coming up with effective solutions. From an early age, I thrived in complexity — the more complex the problem the better. I could always see clearly the relationship between components within a system and how the pieces fit together.
By training, I am an infectious disease epidemiologist and modeller. I have spent more than a decade shaping global health policy and national-level strategy, including at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Jordan and Pakistan. In Geneva, I worked with the Research and Product development team and in Pakistan I served as the Coordinator for Risk Assessment & Decision support to the National Emergency Operations Centre. I hold a PhD in infectious disease epidemiology from Imperial College London (ICL).
I bridge the rigour of my academic and policy background at WHO and ICL, with the practical application of my operational field experience in Pakistan. This enables me to create practical strategies that can be successfully implemented.
